It is with great sadness that we have heard that Randall died yesterday afternoon. Our thoughts are with Sheila and Tanya at this very sad time. Much love from all at Stage Struck. xxx

Fancy being an extra in the new Brad Pitt film being made in Falmouth this summer? 500 are needed – come along to Truro School from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. You will need to send in your photo and details first and be over 16years old.

Dear Everyone,

Lots of info for you.

1. Mazey Day Sat 25^th June - We have our Tombola Stall – not as much stuff as we need really so if you have anything else to contribute please get items to Pat, Rosanne or Judith by Thursday evening please. If you can help during the day please let us know.
2. The End of School Show – Sat 16^th July at 8.00pm – tickets on the door – adults £6 and students & children £4. Posters available. Please tell everyone – it will be a lot of fun!!
3. Costume List for above show –

Ø  Everyone needs a white school shirt, black trousers, black trainers or dollies or black school shoes, blue jeans (not dark navy please) and a plain, round necked T shirt in any colour.

Ø  Cast of Thimble – boys need suitable footwear for cowboys, Anton needs black shoes. Girls need black tights & Victorian looking boots

Ø  Timewarp (Rocky Horror) – everyone- most people have some things provided towards this but you need to ensure you have a full costume by adding to this yourself

4. REHEARSALS for E of S Show – From next week all rehearsals go from 7 – 9.00pm for everyone please. There is a Sunday afternoon rehearsal from 2 – 5pm on July 10^th. This is a dress rehearsal and all costumes must be brought along!! Anything we are providing will be there for cast to take home following the rehearsal. On Saturday 25^th everyone should be at St John’s Hall by 3.45pm with all costumes and a packed tea. We should be finished by 9.45pm.
5. HELP FOR E of S Show – We needs lots of help please. Front of House helpers can still watch all the show. We need help back stage with props and cloths for Thimble – again you could watch show after interval. We also need dressers and chaperones. Please get in touch if you can help – we can’t do this without you.
6. PUB QUIZ – for Stage Struck Funds Being held at 9.00pm at The Long Boat Pub on Tuesday July 19^th at 9.00pm, Please bring a team and support us!!
7. We finish for Summer on the 16^th July and start back on Sept 6^th from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. We will have company auditions on 13^th but the 6^th will be an open rehearsal for anyone interested.

     ADVANCED NOTICE: Christmas Concert – December 9^th.

      2012 Show – 15^th – 17^th March.

The rehearsal tomorrow will be in the gym at Humphry Davy School.
Be on time and raring to go!

Important dates for your diary

Sunday Rehearsals start on February 6th. Members should check what times they are needed.

There will be no rehearsals in half term.

The Summer Concert is at St John's Hall on July 16th 2011 at 8.00pm.

Make sure you have all these dates written down and tell everybody you know about both shows, 'Return to the Forbidden Planet' and 'The Summer Concert'.

New logo

We are currently having the Stage Struck logo redesigned. There are several possibilities in the pipeline and all members will have a say in the final design. Initial designs will be out soon for people to have a look at!

The next Stage Struck production will be...

'Return to the Forbidden Planet'

March 24 - 26th 2011 at St. John's Hall, Penzance. 

Return to the Forbidden Planet is a musical based on Shakespeare's The Tempest and the 1950s science fiction film, Forbidden Planet.

The plot follows the crew of a routine survey flight under the command of Captain Tempest. Their spaceship is drawn mysteriously to the planet D'Illyria where mad scientist Doctor Prospero and his lovely daughter Miranda are marooned.

The high energy show features a bevy of 1950s and 1960s rock and roll classics,such as Great Balls of Fire, Monster Mash and Johnny B. Goode.
